is this magic?: evening length, experimental live performance blending dance film & live dance. Each performance followed by an artist talk back. Lagom (Two Harbors, Mn), The Lab (Duluth, Mn), the Southern Theater (Minneapolis, Mn). Two Harbors performance in collaboration with a local business owner to launch the opening of their new business (April, June, August 2024).

*object permanence: dance film. This work considers Schiltgen’s identity and level of visibility as rural, autistic, adhd, artist, and woman. Filmed in Two Harbors. *recipe for something: live dance. Schiltgen explores choreography inspired by framing techniques used in screendance, through prop work with a large wooden board. Choreographers’ Evening, Walker Art Center (Mpls, Mn, 2021), Dances on the Lakewalk (Duluth, Mn, 2021).
*Deep Water: evening length work consisting of Short Haul (live dance), Shantyman (live dance), & Long Drag (dance film). Deep Water explores sea shanties as a device to structure & inform choreography while examining productivity, work & community. Rhythmically Speaking’s The Cohort 20/21 (Mpls, Mn, 2021), Good Night at the Southern Theater (Mpls, Mn, 2021).

*Annie and Laura: live dance. This work brings to life Higgins female characters, exploring identity during adolescence. Commission for writer Tina Higgins Wussow. Teatro Zuccone (Duluth, Mn, 2020).

*Come Go With Me: live dance. Schiltgen explores the rural landscapes uniting her past and present to choreograph a meditation for grounding. Choreographers’ Evening Walker Art Center (Mpls, Mn, 2019), Dances at the Lake Festival (Mpls, Mn, 2019), Dances on the Lakewalk (Duluth, Mn, 2019).

*is this magic? Rural MN Tour 2025: Schiltgen will tour her experimental dance performance to Battle Lake, Detroit Lakes, Ely, & Grand Marais. Each performance accompanied by artist talkback and creative movement workshop.
*anemoia: multi-screen screendance installation. This work considers seeing alternate realities in our memories. A derelict rural environment serves as metaphor. To be installed in vacant buildings around Two Harbors.
*she thinks evil: multi-screen screendance installation. Currently in research. Research funded by MSAB. This piece explores oppressive structures within our perception rendering women and nature inconspicuous.
