premiering January 2027 | Duluth, MN
anemoia is an immersive multi-channel screendance installation with live improvised durational performance.
anemoia explores how memory as a tool for locating meaning, authenticity, and acceptance. Influenced by my work with a cognitive behavioral therapist and informed by my connection to the rural landscape, the project draws on imagery of natural slate formations and derelict rural environments. These visual elements reflect how nature remembers, reclaims, and moves in cycles, suggesting what was, what is, and what can be.
Production completed 2023.
choreography, editing, sound design | Kayla Schiltgen
dance | Freya Jeffs
on site production assistance | Eric Elefson
