SHE THINKS EVIL, A NEW SCREENDANCE

With support from the Minnesota State Arts Board, I’ve begun production on a new multi-screen screendance installation considering solitude and gender. I will be solo thru-hiking the 310-mile Superior Hiking Tail camera in tow and filming my danced response to the journey eventually weaving it into choreography. I’ll be working on this piece over the next few years. In May of 2024 the Two Harbors community was invited to help develop this work via creative movement classes hosted at the Two Harbors Public Library.

April 2023: Begin grant writing January 2024: Begin pre-production May 2024: Research with the Two Harbors community - Creative Movement Workshops September 2024: SHT Hike-POSTPONED until 2025. After much consideration I have decided to postpone my hike feeling like more research and time is needed. |
