she thinks evil

premiering 2028

Serving as dancer, cinematographer, choreographer, and sound recordist, Kayla documents her embodied response while solo thru-hiking the 310-mile Superior Hiking Trail to reclaim solitude.

Taking shape as an immersive mulit-channel screendance installation she think evil explores society’s discomfort with—and need to control—women who choose solitude, with mother nature paralleling the autonomous woman.

Kayla is currently seeking residency time and space to advance the conceptual, choreographic, and technical development of this project.
