Deep Water consists of several short form works including Short Haul (live performance), Shantyman (live performance), & Long Drag (screendance)) set to sea shanties & original compositions by Duluth Artist George Ellsworth. The work explores sea shanties as a device to structure & inform choreography while examining pace, work & community. Presentations: Rhythmically Speaking The Cohort 20/21 (Mpls, Mn, 2021), Good Night at the Southern Theater (Mpls, Mn, 2020), Minnesota Fringe Festival (Mpls, Mn, 2019). |
